During the production of concrete products - especially during the pressing procedure - material gets easily stuck on the shoes of the tamper head due to contact with moist and fine face concrete, hence the top surface of the stones gets damaged. The unfortunate results are an increase in rejects percentage and a decrease in machine efficiency (due to cleaning). Additionally, maintenance steps are necessary to release the shoes from the adhering face concrete.

One of the frequently used relief measures is to reduce the concert’s W.C- value, thus accepting the decline of the top surface finish quality. Clusters in the concrete and uneven compacted surfaces complicate subsequent processes of those concrete products.

To countervail these problems and to step-up both productivity and production quality, Zenith has developed the ZENITH HEATED TAMPER HEAD, which enables production at higher W.C-values of face concrete without scale or adhesion on the shoes.
